We are a small, informal, social group "dedicated to conservation and improved fisheries habitat." You are invited to join the Columbia-Greene Chapter of TU and participate in our monthly meetings as well as other activities.  Our regularly scheduled meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at 7:00 p.m. at Cross winds off Harry Howard Ave, Hudson, N.Y.  All are welcome, including non-members…bring a friend, relative or even a spouse.

So why should I join Trout Unlimited?   What's in it for me?

  If you've never been a member you pay just $17.50 for an introductory membership, there are no additional fees for the year. Choose from several membership renewal categories when you renew the 2nd year.

    Trout in the Classroom demonstration -Windham Ashland Jewett Central School
    “Trees For Tributaries” - Tree and shrub planting at Roe-Jan Park
    Summer demonstration/environmental programs – Taconic State Park, Olana State Historic Site, Copake and Copake Falls Community Days,Greene County Youth Festival, Batavia Kill Creek Celebration.
    NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation creeks and lake stocking in both counties.
    Creeks: Kinderhook, Claverack, Roe-Jan, Taghkanic, Kline Kill, Catskill, Batavia  Kill, Schoharie, East Kill ,West Kill ,Basic, Kaaterskill.
    Lakes/Ponds: Queechy Lake, Colgate Lake, Greens Lake,Ore Pit Pond,Weed Mines Pond
    Conduct fly-tying and fly fishing classes at Columbia-Greene Community College with a “Day on the Stream” with students..
    Museum visits – Fly Fishing Museum in Livingston Manor, NY
    Fishing trips to notable trout streams in N.Y.,CT., MA. - Beaver Kill, Farmington , Housatonic and others.
    Annual banquet. Raises money to support chapter conservation projects.
